The CBI promptly registered a First Information Report (FIR) and launched a multi-pronged investigation into the alleged irregularities.

On May 5, the NEET-UG exam took place at 4,750 centres nationwide, with approximately 24 lakh candidates participating.
The results were revealed on June 4, ten days earlier than anticipated, and shortly after, reports surfaced of a NEET-UG paper leak in Bihar.
Seven individuals, including four candidates, were arrested by Patna Police in relation to the case.
