Students wants to know how NEET paper was leaked in Patna for Rs. 32 lakh. Allegations of a question paper leak marred the NEET UG exam held in May 2022 in Patna. Investigations revealed a well-organized operation involving a “problem-solver gang” led by Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand. According to media reports, these individuals targeted prestigious exams like NEET and charged exorbitant fees, upwards of Rs 32 lakh, to provide leaked papers.
The scam unraveled after Anurag Yadav, one of the arrested medical aspirants, confessed that the leaked paper he received perfectly matched the actual NEET exam. Further investigations led to the arrest of 13 individuals, including four aspiring students, their parents, and members of the gang. The police recovered burnt copies of the leaked question paper, which are being forensically analyzed to solidify the evidence.
This incident sparked outrage and calls for stricter exam security measures. The Patna High Court even saw petitions demanding cancellation of the exam and a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) even needed to issue a clarification refuting claims that their guest house was involved in the leak.
